But wait, there’s more!
Let’s be real, there’s barely enough internet to hold the amount I’ve written. A little love for select other pieces and outlets: I profiled Design Mom, aka Gabrielle Blair, for the New York Times, hunted down jumpsuits worn in Booksmart for New York Magazine, and learned how to play Big Buck Hunter with nationally ranked shooter Thor Fox (his real name, I promise) for The Riverfront Times. (I also got chased out of a rural Missouri puppy mill for the RFT, but trust me, Thor was way more fun.) Other work has appeared in Cosmopolitan, The Strategist, The Awl, The Hairpin, The Boston Globe, and probably on my parents’ refrigerator too, if it’s something really good.
I also love to yap. Sometimes I do it on TV and the radio. I’ve appeared as an expert source discussing culture, politics, and entertainment on CNN, NY1, NPR, and others. Another work/life highlight: Seeing my book as an answer on Celebrity Jeopardy—and becoming a forever fan of Macaulay Culkin when he got it right. $600 for you, Mack!
